Designing a Custom Number Pendant
How proportion, stone layout, bail size and chain pairing turn a number into a wearable signature.
Build a clear silhouette
A strong pendant reads at a distance. Start with the number’s outline, then balance negative space and stone coverage.
Plan the setting
Round stones maximize continuous sparkle; baguettes emphasize geometry. A mixed setting can create hierarchy without making the face visually noisy.
Match the chain
The bail opening, pendant weight and chain width must work together. Prototyping this system prevents a finished pendant from tilting or binding.
